Why you should not Blog for Money
Today I want to talk about blogging and why you shouldn’t start blogging with the sole motivator being the money that you can make from blogging. I want to explain why blogging for money is a bad idea and why its doomed to fail. Why you need other motivators besides blogging for money and how likely it is that you will make a full time income from blogging alone.
With competition becoming much more immense on the Internet from your mother to your dog having their own personal blogs it is no wonder that getting in the spotlight is becoming much harder. However with the thousands of new people starting to blog every single day there are the minority who will succeed in making a full time income through their blog however that is a very small minority and although I don’t know the statistics I would safely say that it is under 5% of the total amount of people who have tried blogging that have actually succeeded in doing this.
However this article is not supposed to demotivate you from starting your own blogging career or to make you give up blogging it is supposed to bring to your attention that blogging for the sole purpose of making money is the wrong way to blog. Instead you need several motivators for you to pick up your e-pen (keyboard) and starting writing (typing) everyday.
If you have already begun your blogging journey then why not think back to when you started blogging and what was the main reasons for you starting to blog. If the answer to this is to make money then I advise you to look further in to blogging than for the sole purpose of making money. Instead consider blogging because you find the subject interesting, because you love writing or because you love educating others about your blogging subject. There needs to be other interests than just monetary values, there needs to be something that grasps you to start blogging each day even when your tired, demotivated, stressed and lonely. If you believe you can still pick up your e-pen at times like this then thats great, your blogging journey will be a success if only you persist.
Personally I started blogging to learn about Internet marketing. Yes, you heard that correctly. I started blogging to learn about Internet marketing. Back when I started this blog I was still very new to Internet marketing and to becompletely honest the Internet in general. I thought what better way to learn about Internet marketing than to experience it first hand by creating my very first blog. If I new back then all the things that I know now I would of taken a different road which would of probably got me a lot further than I am now however we learn by our mistakes and personally I learn by doing. Anyways what I am trying to say is that the money that I could earn from blogging never entered my head, mainly because I didnt realise that I could earn much money from blogging but also because the main motivator for me blogging was to learn myself. After I started blogging and after I learned the basics I started to enjoy telling others about what I had learnt through my blog and now I get motivated from hearing other peoples feedback and positive comments towards my blog, it really gives me a great buzz.
Why should you Blog?
There are hundreds of reasons to start blogging but I don’t think to make money online is a good answer and a realistic answer either. My reasons for this is because blogging is a long term process, especially if your only blogging to make money online. If you want to make money online there are many other ways of doing it, some are quicker and easier than blogging.
If you want to start a blog then take a minute before you go and register your domain name and set up your wordpress blog to think about why your starting to blog. I would advise you to write a list of the reasons why your starting to blog so in months to come when you might be a little less motivated to blog or low on energy you can revisit that word document and read over the reasons you started blogging to give you a push and help you finish that article.

Set your self aims to achieve your overall goals
Overall I think it is important to take a minute out of blogging now and then to think about why you started blogging and whether those motivators that got you blogging in the first place are still present, if not perhaps you need to reconsider your blogging career or at least reconsider why you are blogging. If you want to make money from blogging thats fine, but make sure thats not the only reason your starting to blog.

I agree with this. If your only focus is on money then it will usually never come. It’s just like the watched pot never boils theory.
It don’t blog for money. I blog because I like writing and I think that people may have interests about my content.
True, in order to succed you need to have and create original and quality posts.
If money its all you have in your head, you will want to finish the article fast as possible, to create another one, for making more money.
But this teory its not always working, as quality its better then quantity. Quantity its already available on the net, but quality you don’t see it everyday.
