SitePoint’s Australian Bushfire Fundraiser smashed $50,000 Target

A couple of days ago, I wrote a post on the Australian Bushfire and how SitePoint (I am sure most of you are familiar with Sitepoint or at least heard of it) were helping to raise money for this natural disaster through doing a special promotion on their books.

It was a 3 day event and their goal was to raise $50,000 over the three day period, however news struck today that they have surpassed that first goal of $50,000 and although from their update they sound very happy with the projected final amount it has not yet been audited so it is unclear what the final amount is.

It was an excellent promotion I for one got some great books from the promotion and I hope many of you did too. I know this fundraising event will help Australia in their fight against the fires. Thanks to Sitepoint and everyone that helped bring the even together, promote it and purchased books for the fundraise.

You can read Sitepoints official post here, where they will most probably update it soon with the final figure.
