The first step

Whilst planning this article I was considering just writing a simple step by step tutorial explaining the best ways to SEO a proxy site. However whilst doing this I decided that it may benefit my readers more if I was to test the use of SEO on a proxy site.

Many proxy owners feel that using SEO on proxy sites is worthless, by the time you have started to receive decent search engine positions for certain high searched keywords, your proxy site will be blocked by most schools and therefore traffic would start to decrease.

However I believe that in 12 weeks you can easily SEO a proxy site so that at least 40% of the traffic is being developed through search engines. Now 40% may not sound like a lot if the overall traffic is only 50 unique views but if my aim was to receive over 100 unique views a day from search engines this may sound like quite a good amount.

This is my plan, in 3 months I am planning on producing a proxy site which will have over 40% of traffic being received through search engines, and I aim that the traffic will be over 100 unique views a day. This is at the minimum I hope for much higher results however although I am confident in my SEO due to summer I know that the amount of traffic will be much lower most of the time. This is were the time plan fits in well with the summer break, by the time I have finished this process it will be the middle of September, which will hopefully allow me to prove to my readers that SEO does work on proxy sites and that it is well worth it.

I will firstly, purchase a brand new proxy domain name, I shall include a print screen of the domain being purchased with a date so people can see that it is brand new.

I will then post weekly articles showing the process of SEO on a proxy site and the results I have received; this will include weekly traffic statistics and search engine traffic results. I am not sure how yet, I will prove this and ensure my readers everything I do and allow my readers to learn whilst reading. I do not want anyone to sabotage or directly attack my website, or do anything to affect the experiment.

The whole point of this process is to prove that SEO on a proxy site is worth it. You do not need to depend entirely on advertising and promoting your proxy site continuously when instead you can perform SEO on the proxy site, to bring you a stable daily amount of traffic which will always be there. The SEO that I will perform is all simple strategies, the only thing that it costs is a couple of hours now and then, but compare this to the amount of money some people spend on advertising these sites, it is priceless.
