If you have not yet heard the latest news coming from Google Webmaster’s official Blog the team there have just released the latest news which talks about their new <link>.
Say Goodbye to Duplicate Content
The idea of the new link is to specify a preferred version of a particular URL, if your site has identical or similiar content that is accesible through several different URLs. The link can ensure that each search engine takes your hint and helps search engines calculate the most preferred URL.
