Which do you prefer, Long posts or Short posts? After publishing my 3,000 word article yesterday which talked about how you can put a price on a Blog I had few mixed views about writing long posts and a couple of comments which discussed the fact that people generally scan articles rather than read the [...]

Ezine Article Submission Completed – Where next?

Ezine Article Submission Completed – Where next?

This is chapter 6 of the 7 steps to article marketing series I am currently blogging about and this week we are talking about what you can do with your article after you have submitted it to Ezine articles.

So you have submitted your article to Ezine articles and it has been accepted, traffic has started to come in and conversions from readers to URL clickers has been high, well done. The next step involves submitting your article to several other article directories using the steps you have just used for submitting your article to Ezine articles.

In a previous chapter I have listed some of the best article directories to use and you can read this again here however I have to mention that there are a massive option of article directories to choose from and although these are amongst some of the best ones it doesn’t mean you can’t do your own research in to directories that specialise in your niche market.

How to submit my articles to other Article Directories?

Personally the way I do this is after the article has been accepted at Ezine articles I will wait a week or two then I shall open up the article on Ezine articles in edit format so that I can see all the information I submitted previously. I will then open several new tabs within firefox and log in to the article directories I choose to use. After I have all the article directories open I will go to the article submission page so on each tab I have a similiar page asking for similiar information such as the title, keywords and article content.

The next stage is where you copy and paste each peice of information in to each article directory after you have finished you submit the articles and await confirmation that they have been accepted.

Tip: If you plan on doing the same as I have just explained here one thing to note is that Ezine articles has a time limit for how long your article can stay on the edit page. Make sure you don’t click resubmit or return key when this pop up box appears to ask you whether you would like to resubmit the edited article.

What about Duplicated Content?

Personally I would not worry about duplicated content as Google already knows that Ezine articles was the first place that your content appeared (sometimes your blog if you submit it there first). Also duplicate content issues are actually more to do with content being reproduced on the same domain however now Google have introduced the canonical meta tag this should be much harder to appear.

I will say that some people do prefer to rewrite their articles before they submit them to another article directory however I wouldn’t say it is a must. Its personal preferences really and it depends on how many places your considering using your article content.

If you want to learn more about duplicate content you can by reading Google’s own description of duplicate content.

What else can I do with my Articles, after submitted to Ezine?

If you don’t plan on submitting your article to several other article directories or you do but you also want to do more with your article then you can also try one of these strategies for increasing traffic and increasing the amount of links your website has.

Squidoo – Create your own Squidoo lens for your website or product.

WordPress – Create a blog and put your articles on the blog

HubPages - Create your own hub and put the articles on your hub.

Blogger – Create your own blogger page and add the articles to your page.

There are loads of things you can do with your article after you have used it for Ezine articles and I will go in to more detail in a future article of mine which will look at ways you can reuse articles however for now you can try one of these techniques which will help to build links to your blog as well as traffic.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks article marketing chapter, a little shorter than usual and perhaps not as well structured but I hope it was informative none the less.
