Clickbank Journal: 14 Days to make a Sale: Day 3
Day 3 of the Clickbank Journal, I hope you are enjoying this Clickbank journal and are finding out some useful tips and techniques.
Today I will be talking about the promotional techniques I am using to promote this Forex product, the ones that I know work and the ones that I am still testing the water with. However firstly I would like to make note that the domain I showed you yesterday, was not the one I am using for this journal, I added the wrong site instead its here;
As you can see its a .com domain and it includes the keywords I am looking for, also as a bonus “Forex Megadroid Pro” gets approximately 5-8 searches a day so it could mean a couple more conversions each month, when I rank for that keyword.
Anyways, lets start with the more important stuff. No matter how good your landing page is, no matter how well the product that your promoting converts, no matter if there are one million or six billion people wanting to purchase the product you promote, unless actually advertise your landing page the chances of people actually landing on your website are very minimal, so you should realise that without promotion and advertising you would be wasting your time.
There are several ways to promote a Clickbank product and considering which market you choose there are different strategies and techniques which work better than others.
For example, Yahoo Answers works quite well with Health related products however Forex products tend to not work as good mainly because the amount of questions regarding Forex robots is much lower. However Forex forums tend to work better in my experience compared to weight loss forums, so as you can see there are good and bad about each technique.
The promotion techniques I would usually use for a Forex product would be;
1. Article Marketing
2. Forum Marketing
3. Search Engine Optimisation
4. E-mail Marketing
Using these methods I can rake up 20-30 sales a month easily, with very little effort however its that constant little effort that you put in that pays off.

As we have just established the website, the optimisation is minimal a little on page optimisation but without off page optimisation this is useless therefore SEO is not a promotional technique we shall be using. It also seems unfair to use E-mail marketing because not everyone has a list of subscribers some of whom are willing to purchase a recommended Forex product.
So instead I shall be using Forum marketing, which in the past seems to have had great effects and Article marketing. I will also be testing out several other promotional techniques, such as USFreeAds (paid version) and Yahoo Answers (going to attempt this again).
With these promotional techniques alone we should be able to pull one or two sales from this promotion.
Now I am the kind of person that doesn’t like to concentrate on just the one project, and if you know me already you will realise I have several projects on the go, I believe its best to spread yourself because if you concentrate on one project you are easily bored and demotivated if things are not going your way. Where as by spreading yourself about your able to move from one project to another and hopefully keep up your motivation. Therefore because of this I don’t like to spend too much time each day on each project, some days I miss a project and spend more time on this another day.
Anyways, the point is that these techniques I will be discussing with you and showing you will be used with the maximum of two hours per day each, I may pay someone to write the article for me however that costs $3.00 maximum per article. Yes, very cheap you just need to shop around a little.
So, what have I done today?
Today, I have been able to use Unique Article Wizard to submit an article related to the Forex industry and include a link back to my website. Now the actual benefits this will have for my website over the next 11 days will be minimal however this is for future search enigne optimisation use.
As well as this I have advertised my website and the product on several Forex related forums. If you are planning on trying this out then the best thing to do is a Google search “Forex Forums” register to the main ones on the first page and then get to know people a little after you have about 20 posts give some hints about your website and the product your promoting.
You don’t want to sound too spammy however if other people are spamming all over the place and the forum is not under control then what the heck!
I have also registered for a Yahoo answers account as I have lost the details of my previous account. Top Tip, always keep account details in one file for future use, it saves time!
I am also researching USFreeAds and whether promoting the Forex product on there is worthwhile, what benefits it could bring, if it would be effective.
USFreeAds used to be a very good place to post an advert as the pages used to be ranked very well in the Search Engines however over the past several years the importance has declined significantly so the effect has dropped too.
To be honest it is a pretty simple marketing plan that I use for Forex marketing. I think people get a little to out of focus and are too busy trying to think outside the box when even the simplest, oldest, most used promotional techniques in the world still convert. I just plan on proving this to you, as well as helping anyone along the way.
