The Competition has started

Well the day has come the competition has started and blogging will start. Now I realise you will not have a clue what I am talking about and that you may assume I have lost my mind. However I have not I am merely informing you that the competition “Blogging Idol” has started today 1st July 2008.

You may be wondering what “Blogging Idol” is and why I have not mentioned the competition before well I shall tell you.

I have not mentioned the competition before as it is a brand new concept (I think) created by the writer at dailyblogtips.com. The basic concept behind the competition is that you enter your blog/website for the competition and you are then given 1 month to gain as many RSS subscribers as you possibly can. The website which is able to gain the largest amount of subscribers wins the contest and the $5,000 worth of prizes that comes along with it.

Now I am usually not one to use the “I am a student excuse” to win myself prizes or have discount put on my food or shopping however I am a student so help me win, well at least support the website.

The reason I have entered the competition is mainly for more motivation towards the website and especially with article writing, I would say it has been one of those months were motivation is at an all time low, I have just finished exams and I am too tired, relaxed and chilled out to do almost anything.

I shall be updating the website weekly with my new statistics for RSS subscribers and the techniques I have used the past week and which I feel have been most successful so if you would like to read more about the competition subscribe to the website. The first article will be submitted in one weeks time and will be titled “Week 1 – Blogging Idol” you will be able to find it in the general section.
